This is the second book I have read by Sean Glaze and I loved it more than the first! There are so many people who could benefit tremendously if they would read this book and actually take action to follow these commandments. I can relate to so many situations and stories told in this book, and I was very moved by it. I absolutely loved the book!
In the business parable style that Sean Glaze has become known for, we’re hooked into the tale of a protagonist living with recognizable real world issues who through a pivotal event is served up powerful messages about teamwork that we can all learn from.
In fact, before I could finish the book I felt compelled to reach out to one of my former co-workers whom I consider to be my best teammate ever (second only to my husband).
This book should be mandatory reading for every new college grad going into the workforce — and their bosses too!
If the teamwork of your organization could use improvement, or if you want to enhance an already good thing, I highly recommend Glaze’s book!
Sean's new book, the 10 Commandments of Winning Teammates, is a wonderful story that presents actionable, vital skills for being a great team member - and a great team leader.
Told in parable format, the reader joins Nick as he heads out for a new city and a new job. Packing for the move, he finds an old scroll from his high school basketball coach the 10 Commandments of Winning Teammates. As Nick meets movers, waitresses in diners, hotel staff, and more, the 10 commandments are brought into clarity.
The stories are the vehicle but the real "nuggets" are the behaviors outlined in the book. We serve on many teams in our daily lives - at work, at home, in our communities - and too often we're not doing what we can to be winning teammates.
Embracing these commandments doesn't require a lot of work. These are practices we appreciate in others when we take the time to notice them! What is required is a change of heart - to decide to be a better teammate, starting now.

I would recommend this book to many different people including employees, students and athletes.
Using the story format, Glaze does an excellent job of communicating these simple yet powerful truths about being a winning teammate. More than just being a winning teammate at your vocation or in a sports context, these truths are about being a teammate for life. Enjoy the story but better yet, apply the concepts to you life!
